I knew him from cub scouts where he was often the ringleader of our more mischievous exploits. Our families were friends and frequently shared meals often ending in their living room discussing their model planetarium. Ever inquisitive he always had a quirky sense of self.
I went to grade school (McKinley) with Cliff and one of my most vivid memories is when he (through his dad who was a professor at OU) borrowed a pickled human brain and brought it to school for science class. It was pretty impressive (and gross, now that I think about it) to a little kid.

My most vivid memory of Cliff was of him crawling out the window in 8th grade English class.

At West, Cliff was a remarkable guitar player. He had a Gibson Firebird guitar and he played it through a Standel amp. Watching Cliff play inspired me to become a rock musician, which I still am to this day. Thanks Cliff! I will always remember you and your great talent.
