Graveside services for Mrs. Frances Leer Bernier, a long-time Norman
resident, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the IOOf Cemetery with Dr. Leslie
C. Brown officiating. Hahn, Cook, Street and Draper Funeral Home is
in charge of arrangements.
She died Wednesday in Oklahoma City.
Mrs. Bernier was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and taught
first grade in the Norman Public School System for many years. She
was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority; Retired Teachers Association,
Norman Business and Professional Women's Club and the First
Christian Church.
Survivors include six sisters, Laura Furgason, Pinkie Ferrell, Martha Leer,
Mertice Leer, Beryl Leer Abbott, all of Oklahoma City, and Ardena
Leer of Norman; four nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces
and nephews.
