Sarah Belle Bowen, 92, died at Norman Regional Hospital on Oct. 18. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mayes Chapel. Interment will be at Fairview-Maguire Cemetery, outside Noble, under the direction of Mayes Funeral Directors.

Ms. Bowen was born in Noble on June 22, 1907, to W.D. and Mary Bowen. She graduated from Noble High School and received a B.A. from the University of Oklahoma in 1931. She taught third grade for 39 years, three at Pleasant Valley, 13 at Norman Jefferson and 23 at Norman Lincoln. She was a member of McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church and was a member of the Builder's Class and Covenant Visitors at the Church. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Teachers Sorority and Cleveland County Retired Teachers Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Leona Ball.

She is survived by a cousin, Verdie Mae Conley of Norman.
