Nola Rebecca Clifton, 84 of Norman died Monday, Dec. 20, in St. Louis. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Norman. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church in Norman with Bob Rice officiating. Burial will follow at the Norman IOOF Cemetery. Havenbrook Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Clifton was born Aug. 11, 1920 in Hydro to Robert L. and Nina Brown Cooper. She attended Oklahoma State Teachers College in Alva and received a masters degree from the University of Oklahoma. She taught for Norman Punlic Schools for 33 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church for 48 years and served as an elder there. She was volunteer at First Presbyterian thrift store. She enjoyed spending time with people, traveling and reading and was an avid bridge player.

Mrs. Clifton was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Jack Young Buff and Alton Clifton; one brother and one sister.

Mrs. Clifton is survived by her son, James C. Buff and wife, Diana, of St. Charles, Mo; brother, Carl Cooper and wife, Flo, of Wichita, Kan.; three granchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many neices and nephews.

Memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 2420 Springer Drive, Suite 215, Norman, Ok. 73069.
