Mrs. Pryor was my 4th grade teacher at Monroe Elementary, and as it turned out my favorite teacher of all. She was a strict but very fair teacher. One time we had an Oklahoma history test and the question was ‘Who was president when Oklahoma became a state?’ I answered Roosevelt, and she counted half off because I didn’t specify which one. That was the only question I missed and it kept me from getting a 100, but she was right.
