A memorial service for Verna B. Robertson, 87, of Norman, will be
at 1:30 p.m. today at the First Christian Church with the Rev. David
Spain officiating and the Rev. Catherine Bennett assisting.
Mrs. Robertson died Tuesday, Dec. 11, in Norman.
She was born March 29, 1914, in Norman to Frank Quillen and
Agnes Elizabeth Evans Hartsock. She was a lifelong Norman
resident.
She married Port Glen Robertson on Aug. 1, 1939, in Norman.
She attended the University of Oklahoma and received a master's
degree in education. She taught at Norman schools for 25 years.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Gerald Glen Robertson of
Bel Aire, Calif.; a daughter, Jane Ann Robertson and a sister, Ruby
Ratliff of Norman.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Hospice of
Norman. Services are under the direction of Primrose Funeral Service.
