Mrs. Winifred L. Tucker, 53, 1131 Caddell Lane, died Friday afternoon in Norman Municipal Hospital after an extended illness.

A native of Cookville, Tex., Mrs. Tucker moved to Wilson in 1919. Before her illness she taught school here in Norman. She had previously taught in Bixby, Wilson, Ardmore and Stigler.

Mrs. Tucker attended OU and received her bachelor's and master's degress in education here. She also attended Oklahoma Baptist University, Shawnee.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, a past worthy matron of Eastern Star, and a member of Kappa Kappa Iota, and both national and state educations associations.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Lavonn Brown officiating. Dr. Brown will be assisted during the services by the Rev. Victor Cerne.

Interment will be in Marlow at 1 p.m. Monday under the direction of Mayes Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, C. Ray Tucker, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Kay Smith, Tulsa, and Miss Kathleen Tucker, of the home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Amos, also of the home, and a brother, Bob Amos, of Ft, Smith, Ark.

Active bearers include G.V. Williams, Ray Bettes, Richard Bell, Charles Lewis, Lester Reed and Jacob Stands.

Honorary bearers are Dr. David Livingston, Leslie Fisher, Pat Livingston, Dr. F.C. Buffington, Grover Bratcher, Ronnie Hinkie, Richard Hinkie and Ansel Young.
