It has certainly been a long time since I taught at West Jr. High. I do remember a young lady named Clark, but I think her first name was Candy. I did teach 7-8th grade math while I was in graduate school at Univ. of OK.
I was born Sue Roberts in Ardmore, OK in 1939 and was graduated from Healdton High School in 1957.
I was graduated from Okla. Baptist Univ. in 1961 with a BS degree in science education. I had a minor in math.
I came to chemistry graduate school at the University of OK in the fall of 196l and married fellow graduate student, Wyman Grindstaff, in the summer of 1962. I began to teach 7th and 8th grade math at West Jr. High in the fall of 1962 while continuing to work on a master's degree at OU. Because of a "three months pregnancy rule" I could no longer teach after January of 1965.
(This is an interesting aside which you can delete, but we tried to save 1/2 of each of my checks during the fall knowing I would not have a job second semester. My husband was making about $200/month from a graduate teaching assistantship and my monthly pay was about $300. I think my contract was for $3300/YEAR.)
Our son was born in May of that year. I received a Master of Natural Science degree from University of OK in August, and we moved to Springfield, MO to begin teaching in the chemistry department of Missouri Sate University. We still live in Springfield.
I retired in 2001 after 30 years of teaching at Drury University in Springfield and Missouri State. Retirement has given us some time to travel, participate in volunteer and church activities and enjoy the families of our son and daughter.
