I spent 11 years on active duty in the Navy flying transports (C118,C130,C9B). I got out and got hired by Northwest Airlines in 1985 and have been there ever since. Although Northwest and Delta just merged so I am now a Delta pilot. I currently am a Captain on the 757 and fly in Asia. My wife Laurene and I have been married for 32 years and have 2 boys Greg (24) and Grant (22). My wife went back to flying in 06 and is a flight attendant for Skywest Airlines. I did continue in the Naval Reserves and commanded VR-55, a transport squadron at NAS Alameda and NAS Moffet Field California. In 2001 I retired as a Captain.
We have lived in Folsom California a suburb of Sacramento on US 50 for the last 17 years. Because of the Navy we have lived in Hawaii, the Phillippines, California and Michigan. We only spent 4 months in Minneapolis when I was hired by Northwest before my California born and raised wife said we're out of here and back to California. I 1990 My squadron was activated for Desert Sheild and Storm and sent to Germany to fly personnel and supplies to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
