Sharing Memories of Susie Woodson Friedman

Susie was such a nice person to me when I moved to Central Jr. High from West. We would all go as a group to lunch across from the school and eat crackers with french dressing on them while discussing the world at large. Susie and Paula Jo were always together along with Claire Rambeau and a few other girls. I loved going with the girls to the village and "Across the Street" for curly fries. I spent the night at Susie's a few times, and once Mrs. Woodson was making pancakes and left the kitchen. Claire and myself were in a quandry as to what to do and actually tried to put some more butter on the grill and ended up buring the baster brush. We were scared to tell Mrs. Woodson and buried it in the garbage. It was Claire's doing but I was blamed for it and not invited back. I loved Susie's parents and her home, my life was upside down as my parents were divorcing and we were living with our Mother near the campus. It was a very difficult time for me, and we ended up moving to Lawton during my high school years. I have fond memories of those good times at Central and I always wondered what happened to Susie and Paula Jo.
