After graduating from NHS, I attended OKC University, where I met and married John Burkman. After a short stop in Wichita KS, we ended up in Lincoln NE, where we have lived since 1972. Our son Travis was born in 1977. I have worked for Lincoln Public Schools since the mid '80's. I am currently at Southeast High School, where I have been for the last 12 years, in the Counseling Center. Travis and his wife Karla have twin sons, Timmy and Brody. They turned 1 on February 1. They are the lights of our lives, and we spend as much time as possible with them. When I am not busy being "Grammy", I love to read, stitch or take photographs, all of which I am passionate about.
