Vadna K. Baker of Norman died Wednesday, July 13 at East Moore Nursing Center in Moore. She was 61.

Graveside services will be held Saturday at Corley Memorial Cemetery south of Stratford with the Rev. Eddie Baker II officiating.

The daughter of Ivanhoe and Levy Gray Tabor, she was born July 18, 1932, south of Stratford. Mrs. Baker was a graduate of Pauls Valley High School, Oklahoma Baptist University and the University of Oklahoma. A teacher, she taught in Oklahoma for 24 years, including 12 years as an English teacher at Norman High School.

She is survived by her husband, Eddie F. Baker III; a son David M. Willis Jr.; two daughters, Karen Michele Hohenberger and Angela Kathryn Nolan; and two grandchildren, Cale S. Henderson and Amey Michelle McGoudrick.

Mrs. Baker was prededed in death by her parents; Ivanhoe and Levy Tabor, three brothers and a daughter.

The family has suggested the American Cancer Society as appropriate for memorial contributions.
